1. Acceptance

By using contxt.to ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

We may update these Terms. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you by updating the "Last updated" date and posting a notice on the site. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.

2. The Service

Contxt.to lets you paste knowledge, generate a short link, and share that link so others can read a summary and continue the conversation in AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude.

You don't need an account to create or view links. You may optionally provide an email to claim a link and receive notifications.

3. Your Content

Ownership

You retain all ownership of the content you paste. We claim no intellectual property rights over it.

License to Us

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, display, and process your content solely to provide the Service (generate links, display shared pages, generate AI summaries). This license ends when you or we delete your content from the Service.

Responsibilities

You are responsible for the content you share. You represent and warrant that:

  • You have the right to share the content
  • The content does not violate any law
  • The content does not infringe anyone's intellectual property rights
  • The content is not malicious (malware, phishing links, etc.)

4. Acceptable Use

You may not use the Service to:

  • Share illegal content (child exploitation material, terrorism, fraud)
  • Harass, threaten, or bully individuals
  • Share malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, access controls, or other technical restrictions
  • Scrape or bulk-extract content for purposes unrelated to normal use (e.g., training AI models without permission)
  • Impersonate another person or entity

AI Agents

AI crawlers (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, etc.) are explicitly permitted to access the Service via the /s/[slug] routes for the purpose of reading context pages on behalf of their users. We provide a structured YAML view specifically for this purpose.

5. AI-Generated Metadata

When you paste content, we use third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) to generate a title and summary for preview purposes. This is an automated process and may produce inaccurate or unexpected results. You are responsible for reviewing the generated metadata before sharing.

6. DMCA / Copyright

If you believe content on contxt.to infringes your copyright, send a notice to:

Your notice must include:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work
  • The specific contxt.to URL where it appears
  • Your contact information
  • A statement of good faith belief that the use is unauthorized
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate

We will respond to valid DMCA notices by removing the infringing content.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us (which is $0, since the Service is free)
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service (including removing specific content) if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.

If you want to delete your content, contact us at privacy@contxt.to with your claim token (if applicable).

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore, without regard to conflict of law principles.
